Meets the following giggle Criteria:
BEST BASICS: These are the tried-and-true necessities that every new parent needs, such as burp cloths and baby bottles, plus some of those things that just make parenting a little simpler. Most of them are considered must-haves, and the rest will make your life so much easier they'll be a no-brainer. In this category, we look for convenience and functionality above all else.BEST BASICS: everyday baby essentials
MULTI-USE: Everyone wants to get the most for their money, but that doesn't always translate to the lowest price. Sometimes it means choosing one great product instead of buying multiple products over time. These products last longer and do more - whether they grow with your baby, live on beyond the baby years, or can be used for more than one purpose - so that you can always feel confident that you made a great investment.MULTI-USE: versatile & long-lasting
HEALTHY: Every parent's number-one goal is a healthy baby, and babies' developing systems are a lot more sensitive than adults. That's why we work hard to find products that won't introduce any more toxins than necessary into your home. Sometimes that means organic products that avoid pesticides and chemicals, but it also includes things like nontoxic cleaning products made from plant-based ingredients, or plastics without toxins likes BPA or phthalates.HEALTHY: made with safe or organic materials
INNOVATIVE: These products are just plain smart, whether it's a new twist on an old product, a smart, modern design, or a fresh idea that's altogether new. We're always on the hunt for the latest innovations in parenting — and that includes cool, new products that adapt the latest in technology to help the newest entrants in the world of parenting.INNOVATIVE: smart products that do more
SPACE-SAVING: Let's face it: Babies take up a lot of room. These space-saving essentials help make sure there's still enough room for everyone after the baby comes. Maybe they have a smaller footprint, or maybe they're easy to put away when you're not using them, but either way they're a whole lot easier than finding a bigger house!SPACE-SAVING: compact & easy to store
RESPONSIBLE: What's good for the world is good for our children. We put a special emphasis on environmentally friendly, "green" products that are made with nontoxic, recycled and sustainable materials. We also love products that help the communities where they're made, or that go the extra mile to support charitable causes. Plus, we love "local"!RESPONSIBLE: eco-friendly or locally produced

Rated 5 out of 5 by cool design!! my grandaughter hasn't even been born yet, but i know she will enjoy eating at the table with us in this perfectly designed high chair! thanks to all the great reviews i don't have to bother shopping for any other high chair! thanks everyone! May 28, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Small and Adaptable We purchased the black one, which works well with our dark wood furniture. We have a lot of walnut, but the one with Walnut finish was still a bit light. The chair design blends right in - looks like a regular chair around our table. It's small but doesn't tip back because of the sliders provided for the base. The average child will be able to easily sit up straight with the extra attachment by 6 months. No one I know has had problems with that. In the beginning when I fed her, it was nice to have the open space between us with no tray. No banging that way! I found it easy to put together. There was a period of time that I missed having a tray separate from our table... but I like that this continues to change as the child grows - no need to purchase boosters or higher stools. Rated 5 out of 5 by Best chair ever Everything about this chair is good. The wood is easy to clean and nice looking. It pulls right up to the table so younger babies can eat with family. October 9, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by The perfect highchair! I bought the Tripp Trapp for my son when he was a year old. Ever since then, he loves this chair! He can get in and out of it on his own and because of it's sturdiness I don't worry about him climbing on it. He feels like an adult when he eats with us because he is at the table. This is a great chair to help your child feel like a part of the family at meal times. October 7, 2009
Rated 3 out of 5 by Fine for small spaces I bought the Tripp Trapp for my then 7 month old b/c I needed a high chair that was fairly compact and didn't take up a lot of room. I found the attachment used when he was an infant very difficult to get him in and out of the high chair. You can't just pop it in and out and it was difficult to get his little legs into it. Once he was old enough to not need that it made getting him in and out of the Tripp Trapp easier but now he constantly puts his feet on the table b/c he has nothing besides the straps restraining him. For the purpose of space saving and allowing him to eat at the table with us it's been great but overall not having a tray has posed problems. I'm sure once he's bigger the feet on the table will pass but it is absolutely annoying at the moment. October 7, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by great for small spaces Fits nicely in my daughter's small eating area. October 6, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Functional and looks good - Bonus I love that our son can sit right at the table with us for his meals, and not having to be pushed back due to a tray. I love that the Tripp Trapp will grow with him, and we can use it for years to come. I love that the Stokke Tripp Trapp looks good at my dining table and blends in with the furniture - this is an added bonus, to an innovative and functional design. October 6, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Longevity! We look for things that are of good quality & will grow w/ our children. This is one of those purchases that you just feel great about. We love the color choices and style of the chair, but they are also of great construction. Our son has used it since he started solids & now that we're expecting baby #2 we feel confident in passing the chair on- I don't think one could say the same for other high chairs on the market. October 5, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nothing else like it! My son is 1 and has been using this chair for months. He sits at the table with us and we eat all meals together. If I have another baby soon, I will be getting another. Looks like furniture and not a big bulky plastic chair. I like that there is no tray, so they eat at the table like adults do. I think it teaches nice eating habits early and makes meal times a family event. Expensive, but worth every penny. October 5, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by love this chair We've purchased two of these chairs! They have fit both our kids when they were babies and are still using them now.. the oldest is 4 years old! They slide right to the table so baby and toddler start eating at the table from the beginning. Our living space is small so it affords us more room in the eating area than a regular high chair would. October 5, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Grows with you Love the look of this chair in our apt. Baby is comfy, and we enjoy her sitting with us at the table! Wish it was easier to get her in and out of it, but overall, a great buy. June 30, 2009
Rated 2 out of 5 by works only if your baby can sit up straight! this entire system is good from post 9 months. Prior to it you will need to get another system. I have spoken to many moms about this and they feel the same. One said she is happy with it "now that her girl is 2 years old!" I feel the same. Great system but they need revise the age recommendation on it. Also the additional baby guard system is so tight and small that unless your baby is tiny it wont fit! Assembly is difficult and the guard rail and straps got stuck when we tried to force it through the gap it was suppose to fit into. So, we returned it and got another one. June 30, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great chair My son has been in this chair from 6 months old. He has always been part of the family sitting at the table. It's a great chair and easy to clean. June 25, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Highchair that is cool furniture I love the tripp trapp. We have used it with our 3.5 year old since she was 6 months. The guard rail is sort of challenging but once we took it off, it was great to have her eat at the table. She still uses it. June 18, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best High Chair Ever This is the best high chair ever. My oldest son has my Tripp Trapp from the 1970's and we bought a new one for our younger child. June 7, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Chair Many of our friends and family have been taken back by this chair unitl they see it in use. Our child loves it and sits perfectly safe in it as a member of our family at the table. We enjoy seeing her at the table in a manner which does not make her appear seperate in a large plastic chair. Even though it is wood and cloth, it is easy to clean and maintain when the child moves to food and begins feeding themselves. We are pleased our child will be in this chair for years to come. June 7, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Functionality at its best This is the best high chair that I've come across. The kids, like that they have their own chairs and sit at eye level with the adults. I even use the chair as a step stool and it doesn't even shake under the pressure. June 3, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Thank goodness for the Swedes! They've designed an excellent highchair: the Tripp Trapp grows with baby so that you don't have to buy more than one highchair/child's chair--genius! The chair has a very small footprint, is incredibly well-built and attractive, and is easy to assemble. Put some felt glides on the bottom if you have a wood or tile floor, and you'll be in business. We love this chair! The baby seat attachment needs a little fine-tuning, but Stokke has great customer service, and is more than happy to help with diagnosing problems and offering suggestions. They even asked me to email them a photo so they could help me adjust the straps! May 31, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great & Stylish This chair has been a great buy! We purchased for our son and he began sitting it in at 6mos (with infant insert) and now he's 19 mos and loves it when we put him in there for meal time. It cleans up easily, fits right up to our kitchen (and dining) table and looks great. One word of caution-- the chair covers for it should be washed in cold/warm water and not put in drier. Our nanny did and they shrunk and did not fit. Our daughter was just born and we really want to get another one so they each have their "high" chairs. big fan. May 31, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by grows with child & makes them feel "big" i get one of these chairs for my kids when they're between 12 and 18 months. they love the "big boy" aspect of having their own chair and sitting at the table. the chair goes well with our dining room table and we adjust it as the child grows (which is also an exciting milestone for my kids). i love the clean, study shape and build of this chair. we joke that each kid will keep the chair until they leave for college! May 28, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wouldn't trade it! I love having the baby pulled up to the table with us, and feel like he's really benefiting from not being stuck behind a highchair tray. He has sat in this since he was 3 months old, so it is natural for him to be right at the table with his mom and dad, and I hope that will contribute to good table manners or at least better socialization when he's older. The only thing I dislike is that they don't offer the wooden rail set in the US; the plastic melamine one is white and gross and I have read reviews of it cracking such that sharp edges make it dangerous. We actually ordered a wooden rail set from the UK but then discovered that the chairs over there have an extra slot in each side to hold the wooden rail (which are missing on the US chairs). We used a router to create the necessary slots for the wooden rail (despite Stokke's warning not to alter the chair in any way) and we couldn't be happier with its performance. Needless to say, we'd never leave our son in the chair unsupervised with or without our home modification. May 28, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Compact and Functional I was so excited to buy this chair for my son--I love that he can sit at the table safely with us and be at the same level instead of in a separate traditional high chair. It blends with furniture, looks cool, and I was able to assemble it myself (though it did require some alone time and concentration.) The only thing I don't like about it is that the buckle on the harness is difficult to undo, so while i would love to remove the bar part of it at this point it is easier to put my son in there with the bar and not buckle the harness. May 28, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by simple modern high chair I purchased this high chair because I really liked the multi-stage aspect of the chair. The chair comes in wonderful colors but we chose the classic black (everything goes with black). My son seems to like the chair and we've already had to adjust the seat as he has grown. I look forward to the many years of use we'll get from this chair. May 27, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Better for toddlers than for babies We started using this so that our daughter could eat at the table with us. When she first sat in it she would bend her head back while she was eating it. She was too young for the chair. We moved her back into it when she was a little older and it is much better. The shoulder straps don't stay on well. May 27, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hands down best chair I love this chair! What more can I say, I think this chair is the reason my almost 4 year old has always sat so calmly and patiently through meals. She has always had a comfortable place at the table from day one. Our second child has just started using this chair so we moved the older one to a"big" person chair... I truly wish I could buy another tripp trapp because family meals are no longer quite as fun... May 27, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Grows with my child Love it!!! Would like the tray to go with it for my small baby. May 27, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by One Highchair for All Ages This was the best purchase we made as first-time parents. It's so versatile and allows our son to sit at the same level with us. No extra high chair needed. It's also grown with him and is still being used at age 6. Excellent ergonomic design. We liked it so much that we bought a second when our next son was born. May 27, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by A Favorite This is probably the single baby gear item that has gotten the most use in our house. We started our son out with the rail and cushion when he was about 5 months old. Now he's 2 and gets in and out of the chair himself. Its nice that it pulls right up to the table so he can eat with us. Cons would be that it is probably not as easy to clean as a chair with a plastic removable tray. Pros: Sturdy, practical, looks great and it'll probably go with our son to college! We plan on buying a second one for our daughter too. May 27, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by great for all ages!! I purchased this chair for my now 14 months old son. We bought the baby set and the cushions. My baby loves his chair. The best part is that this chair grows as he grows! And is a good way to go green. May 27, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best high-chair around This chair is expensive, but well worth it. It is well-made, sturdy and best of all, can be pulled up to the family dinner table (unlike traditional high chairs). This is a great way to teach your kids early on how to behave at the table and also how to be included in the conversation. The only drawback is how hard it is to keep clean - the cushions (sold separately) are easy to remove, wash and replace. But the chair itself gets dirty as your toddler learns to "self feed", so I recommend cleaning it daily with wood wipes or cleaner instead of waiting until it's REALLY dirty. Things like milk and banana are tough to remove later. May 27, 2009
