Rated 4 out of 5 by Love it for our small space! We bought the stokke because we have a small one bed apt and wanted to make our available space as useful as possible. And this was the perfect crib! I loved that it was round and different but the major factors in our purchase were the wheels (made it portable from room to room) and the size (no wasted space with bulky crib corners). The only thing I would change is to make it a bit higher for newborns. You have to bend pretty low to get the baby even on the highest setting. March 10, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amanda The Stokke Crib/Bassinet set has been absolutely perfect for us. We assembled it ourselves (very easy). The bassinet was the perfect size for bringing home baby and it was wonderful to be able to roll it all around the apartment. Now, our little boy is 16 months old and the crib is fantastic. We moved to a larger apartment in the same building a few months ago, so having the crib on wheels and able to fit through doorways was wonderful. The simple design and sturdy materials make it well worth the price! March 10, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simple, practical, worth every $ We love these cribs. We purchased one sleepy set and changing table when we had our first son. We did not think twice when our second boy arrived. These cribs are the best. Safe, simple, elegant, practical and they grow with your child. We also have the changing tables and we adore them. Only drawback is that the bedding could be a little expensive but we have given thse cribs so much use that we don't care. Totally recommend them! March 10, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Wonderful Crib! The bassinet is not worth it. My son was too big for it by the time he was 7 weeks old. He did start out kinda big...lol...8lbs. 11oz. and 21 in. However, we could never get him to sleep in there. The mattress for the bassinet is SUPER thin. Once we discovered he was too big, we put up the crib. He has slept in the crib every night since then. We LOVE the crib. Both pieces of furniture are beautiful. January 20, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing crib! My husband and I are thrilled with the Stokke crib. We originally purchased the crib because of its modern look, but it has turned out to be super functional. It is helpful to have a crib on wheels that works in small spaces. It allows us to move our little one from room to room. Also-- most babies favor one side versus the other when sleeping...our pediatrician recommended that we move the crib itself every week to help him develop muscles evenly. With the Stokke, this is a simple task I can do myself. Fabulous crib, we are THRILLED with it. March 29, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great crib We love the crib and it has worked well for both of our twins. However, the bassinet was a waste for us. The twins lasted a week in each of their bassinets. It was too small and they moved way to much to be in it. It was a waste of money but the crib is great and we love it!!! December 3, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the Wheels We love this crib. When our son was using this as bassinet, we move it to where we are. Because it's compact and has wheels, it's easy to move it around from room to room. It's a really nice feature to have. What I love about this produc is that you can use it for a long time. You can convert it to junior bed or chairs. You get your worth for sure. October 9, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for small space This looks great and helps creat a cozy sleep environment for our newborn. The wheels enabled us to move the bassinet into the living room when we were nervous about leaving him alone in his room. October 7, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by the best! One of 2 pricey items purchased for our daughter along with the bugaboo stroller, Anne-Louise has always LOVED her bed. In the bassinet form, she was nested and cozy and the bassinet was easy to move from room to room, to keep her with us. Even at almost 3 years old, she looks forward to getting into her crib at nap and bed time and still can not escape even though she is tall. I love that the look is modern in that understated European way without screaming "MODERN". The quality is such that I can pass this on to my younger siblings for their use when they have kids and I'm sure it will stand the test of time so that it can become a family heirloom. The only draw-back I can name is that you can't use standard sheets, etc., so getting all of the bedding is expensive too. October 6, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by High quality bed but... the directions are awful! My husband who's normally rather good at figuring things out had a tough time with the directions and needed assistance through Stokke's customer service. Fortunately, they were very helpful. Our son sleeps well in this bed. Very sturdy piece. October 5, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sleepi is the best We love the Sleepi crib. My son has been sleeping in it since we came back from the hospital - as the bassinet. It was so handy - we could move it all around the house... Now as a crib, he loves it, and I do too... The oval shape makes it look nice in the room, and can be repositioned easily... My son (he is 22 months and very active), still has not been able to figure out how to climb out... I don't think he is even interested. Great Crib, great mattress (we got ours replaced by Stokke)... We are thinking buying the "extension" to convert it to a toddler bed - when that happens ... October 5, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great all all purpose crib Love this crib for so many reasons. With our first child, we started with the bassinet and it was great to roll it (yes it's on wheels) around into different rooms without struggling to make it fit through the doorway. As a crib it was great because we could lower the mattress height, so that my young toddler could not crawl out. But it was also great because it was low to the ground (and I am not tall) and I wouldn't struggle or tip into the the crib trying to place my sleeping child inside. Again it's great that it's on wheels, so I can roll it away when I want to vacuum underneath. Now with my second child, it is back to the bassinet again and we actually keep it either in our bedroom or in the hall without taking up space. My only complaint is that the bassinet mattress puckers a bit inside the bassinet. But I still love it. October 5, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Convenient and Compact The bassinet wheels around very easily allowing the baby to sleep and nap in different spots in our small condo and stay within our sight and range of hearing. It is solidly made and comfortable based on his happiness resting and sleeping in the bassinet. I would highly recommend this product. June 30, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Compact style that grows Perfect bassinet to crib to bed for small spaces. Although price is same, in store purchase / order delivery fee of $95 is $55 cheaper than online purchase shipping of $150. (At least in SF Bay Area). Plus you can include addtl items for no extra charge. June 30, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent system My husband and I love the Stokke system. It's easy to assemble and we love how light the frame is. Plus it doesn't take up a lot of room. The wheels make it easy for us to move the crib around the room or to another room completely when necessary. It's great that the system will grow with our infant as she grows. June 28, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nicest looking bassinet & crib We've been very pleased with the walnut version of the bassinet and now the crib. Our son (now three months old) seems very comfortable. Both the bassinet and crib are quite attractive and roll easily around the room whenever we want to move them. June 22, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great!! As a grandmother and Baby Nurse, this is one of the best on the market. Convenient and created for the parent who has limited space. Secondly I want to praise the staff at 1033 Lexington Avenue Branch. I am a Baby Nurse and on June 13th, the mother of my precious care, decided to take the baby to a function. However the function was not baby friendly. Lo and behold, I am left with a baby, no where to shelter, because it started to rain. My only haven was Giggle. I sat there for 2 hours, while I waited for the mother. THANK YOU STAFF OF GIGGLE AT LEXINGTON AVENUE FOR YOUR KIND AND COURTEOUS MANNER TOWARD ME AND MY CARE. June 14, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love it but... I loved the Stokke bed. After searching for a bed that met all my requirements, this bed was the only one that met the mark. Surprising how many beds out there aren't solid wood and don't use non-toxic finishes. I was sold on the 'grow with me' nature of the system. I'm not sure I'd buy this bed again. Our baby started out in a co-sleeper. Unfortunately, she never took to the bed - she went from the co-sleeper to co-sleeping to her own mattress and boxspring. It was a very expensive nap location for us. The mattress isn't very supportive. Yes, you can buy replacement ones on this site that are more supportive, but at $1000, you'd think you'd get a better one. Everything is expensive - the sheets - the mattress pad....and when you need many sets - it's not the cheapest sleep option out there. We never converted the bed - even as a daybed, our child didn't like it, which made for long nights. We, of course, didn't know we'd not use the bed, but it's difficult to ascertain before a baby is born what the best option will be. Short of it is: If you have the money to freely spend, this is a great bed...hands down the best bed out there. If you intend on not co-sleeping...great option that will grow with your child June 1, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love it! I LOVE THIS and I wish more co would make bedding for it so I would have a few more options! My son stayed in the bassinet for about 6 months and now we have him set up in the crib. LOVE IT LOVE LOVE IT! I'm just afraid he may outgrow it soon (I think it's a little smaller than the average crib) May 29, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Practical and nice design! The Stokke Sleepi is a great design. It is not bulky and you can easily glide it from your bedroom to the babyroom or living room when needed (we did this a lot when our son was using the bassinet) Also, it is quite easy to change it from bassinet to crib. Unfortunately our son did not want to sleep in his bassinet in the first 2 months. It is not as snug as mom's or dad's arms, however, I believe that could happen with other bassinets too... Rated 5 out of 5 by Round is Better! Love, love, love this bassinet/crib combination. No need to buy two separate pieces of furniture. The bassinet is great til about 3 months of age, then you add a couple attachments put in the new mattress and you have a full crib. The design is cool and unique. The size is perfect for a smaller room. Seriously, it's the best. May 27, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Modern look and practical too! We looked at this system as an investment to take our daughter from infant to toddler. I thought it would be challenging to convert from bassinet to crib, but my husband and I were able to do it with relative ease. So far we have been very happy with its versatility and of course, the great modern look. I like the modern bedding available too. May 27, 2009
