Rated 3 out of 5 perfect for travel
I was hoping the go-pod would be a little more appealing to my little one, but she seems slightly bored in it. That said, it has been great for travel, for outdoors and for when I need to keep my 8month old contained.

This thing seemed like an excellent buy - a portable baby holder so I wouldn't have to lug around the exersaucer to visit friends and family! And honestly, if you just want a place to deposit a baby for a few minutes, it's a perfectly acceptable place to do this.
The problem is - babies are pretty smart. Or at least curious - usually both. Especially after having the pleasure of already playing in exersaucers and jumperoos with lights and bells and whistles and...A SWIVELING SEAT. That's the biggest drawback with this contraption, really. Once you put the baby in it, he or she can't really move around to get a different view, which ultimately frustrates them and makes them try to figure out a way to get out. - or at least it frustrated my 6 month old baby. Even with the addition of toys, he was frustrated and bored in a matter of minutes and was crabbing to get out, because he couldn't move, couldn't bounce. Just stood there basically looking in only one direction.
Granted, bouncers don't move around either, but at least investing in a portable bouncer allows babies to entertain themselves by a) bouncing or b) playing with a toy bar attached to the bouncer.
Nutshell review: If you need a place to stick a passive baby for a few minutes so they won't get into trouble, this will probably work. But think that there are probably more fun options for baby that are more portable and less frustrating/time consuming to set up and take down.
Thing went back to the store the day after I bought it. He was much happier bouncing away in a bouncer.

Kidco's GoPod is giggle's "pick" for a smart, portable alternative to a bulky activity center. Because GoPod easily folds for travel and storage, its minor limitation is that the child's seat is fixed, and does not swivel like a traditional activity center. It's perfect for parents who don't have a ton of space or want to take it "to go"!Q:Â
i assume this item has holes for the baby's leg to go thru, is that correct?also does the little toy featured in the picture come with the go pod? i didn't see it listed...

Kidco has made their Go-Pod Activity Center both easy, and portable! This great baby basic will keep a child entertained for hours -- begin using Go-Pod as early as 4 months old (or when baby can hold-up their head), and continue to entertain your child in it until they reach walking age (or when baby can move the product on their own).1 of 1
