Rated 5 out of 5 by CaroGold Must have! I wore my son in a Moby for three months straight everyday for hours on end. He was a very colicky baby and skin time he got while he was in the Moby instantly calmed him. I especially love that he can be wrapped so that his head is covered (he can breath and look out the side) but it simulated darkness to calm him even when we were in busy streets or traveling. The Moby got me through my first few flights with him. I have several carriers and, to me, this is the most comfortable because the cloth evenly distributes weight across your shoulders rather than having shoulder straps digging in all day. To people who worry about how complicated the wrap is, I say give it an honest try for a week. I was also skeptical but after a week it took only a few seconds to put it on. You really get the hang of it. It is definitely worth practicing. June 11, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Bebo Too long, too many steps, practice before you buy When I was pregnant I thought the Moby would be my carrier of choice. Everyone raves about it, and moms seem Goddess-like carrying their babies around. I quickly learned that there was no way to put it on alone without it dragging on the floor. Yuck. I also tired of all the steps required to get it on and off. My baby was in, my baby was out, the Ergo was one or two clicks, and the Moby was an entire Tai Chi formation. I'm all for holding your babies close. Use a carrier, use many. If you have some friends with kids, borrow theirs to see what works for you before you commit. June 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by stylesavvymommy Must-have for the first few weeks! So glad I had this for my newborn! Took a few tries to feel comfortable tying it but my son loved being in it. Knowing he was cozy and letting my hands be free made tasks like grocery shopping a breeze! May 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 Moby is great for newborns I've tried them all!! This is one of the top three carriers that I would recommend. I used this with my son from birth to 4 months. He loved it! I would put him in it and vacuum the entire house, do dishes, laundry and yard work. He would sleep safe and sound the entire time. Babies love being that close to their momma's when they're that small. The Moby is great because you can get a snug fit between you and your baby. The Moby requires some assistance the first few times that you put it on but after that you should be able to handle it on your own. I also highly recommend the Ergo for baby wearing post 3 or 4 months old. March 26, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by emarsh great for newborn i used this carrier everyday for the first few months of my daughters life. once you get used to putting it on, its soo comfy & kept my baby so snuggled - she would fall asleep on walks. i could run errands so easily & be hands free (it felt like i was still pregnant since she was so snug & happy) ooonlyyy drawback is it can make you kinda hot in summer months March 21, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Maman1013 Works well with a C-Section In those early weeks, when the baby wants to be close to you but you really just want to get the dishwasher emptied, the Moby is a lifesaver! It was also ideal with my C-Section because I could tie it high on my belly. It takes a little practice to learn the wraps but I got it down quickly. I even worked out a couple times doing lunges and squats while wearing baby! My little guy is heavy so we outgrew this quickly, it just didn't have the support of the Ergo. March 21, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by swy54 Comfortable but so hard to use. My baby (and me, sometimes) was very comfortable in this wrap, but it takes forever to get baby in and out. If your baby falls asleep, forget about taking him out and putting him down still asleep! There is definitely a learning curve to using this wrap, but once you get it, it's very comfortable. It's a lot easier than a traditional front carrier to move around and do things too. This color faded a little in the wash and is a little thick (because it's organic?) so I would go for a thinner, softer one. The thickness made it harder to get baby in, and also it gets very warm in there. Also, looks bulky when you have it on so it's not very flattering on mommy. March 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by AmySFMom So sweet! I carried my daughter every where in this the first few months of her life. Such sweet memories! I know lots of parents get pretty flustered trying to use the Moby for the first time. I had someone in a local store show me how to use it once, and that's all it took. I think it's really confusing if you don't see someone do it, so I recommend having someone at Giggle or another store show you how to do it, or watch a YouTube video about it. The Moby was one of the best infant products I had and I am grateful for the close bodily contact it gave me and my daughter, as well as the chance for me to carry her around so I could get some chores done!
