We purchased the Mamaroo bouncer after seeing it at a friends' house. Their newborn was quietly and contently rocking in it during an entire dinner party and we were amazed. Our son loved the Mamaroo from day one and we still put him in it at 7 months. It has a comfortable, ergo-dynamic shape and has several rocking options which rapidity can be increased or decreased. It also includes a button for soothing natural musical sounds (i.e. rainforest, chimes, wind, ect...), although we rarely used that feature. We highly recommend the Mamaroo not only for its sleek modern look (it actually looks like a piece of design furniture in our living room!) but also for its utility and versatility. As an aside, everyone who came to visit the baby marvelled not only at him but also at the Mamaroo! People always comment on how cool it looks, in addition to being incredibly useful (other than his stroller, it was the only thing we sat our son in for the first 6 months).
