MULTI-USE: Everyone wants to get the most for their money, but that doesn't always translate to the lowest price. Sometimes it means choosing one great product instead of buying multiple products over time. These products last longer and do more - whether they grow with your baby, live on beyond the baby years, or can be used for more than one purpose - so that you can always feel confident that you made a great investment.MULTI-USE: versatile & long-lasting
HEALTHY: Every parent's number-one goal is a healthy baby, and babies' developing systems are a lot more sensitive than adults. That's why we work hard to find products that won't introduce any more toxins than necessary into your home. Sometimes that means organic products that avoid pesticides and chemicals, but it also includes things like nontoxic cleaning products made from plant-based ingredients, or plastics without toxins likes BPA or phthalates.HEALTHY: made with safe or organic materials
INNOVATIVE: These products are just plain smart, whether it's a new twist on an old product, a smart, modern design, or a fresh idea that's altogether new. We're always on the hunt for the latest innovations in parenting — and that includes cool, new products that adapt the latest in technology to help the newest entrants in the world of parenting.INNOVATIVE: smart products that do more
RESPONSIBLE: What's good for the world is good for our children. We put a special emphasis on environmentally friendly, "green" products that are made with nontoxic, recycled and sustainable materials. We also love products that help the communities where they're made, or that go the extra mile to support charitable causes. Plus, we love "local"!RESPONSIBLE: eco-friendly or locally produced

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product A bit pricey, but super convenient, so I think it is worth the money. I would much rather clean this one appliance than clean a pot, steamer, food processor, etc. October 6, 2009
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good for small quantities I bought this thinking that it would make my life easier...until I saw it's size. It is convienent if you are making small quantities of food, but it took me over 1 hour to cook & grind 2 sweet potatoes. And the blades only catch what they touch - you have to bring the food from the edges of the bowl towards the blades, so that takes a little extra time. If you are making larger quantities of food (to freeze, perhaps) I suggest cooking it in a pot and using a food processor. The directions are also non-existant. They are very poor quality. I will be calling the company tomorrow to see if they can answer the questions I have. If you are making small quantities of food (1 bag of carrots) it only takes about 1/2 hour to cook and grind them. I think it's average because it does it's job, but I don't think it's worth the money. October 6, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by So great! My sister in law has the Babycook. She showed me how to use it and what she blends and cooks in it. One it was so easy! Two I loved it so much I put it on my baby registry! Hope I get one cause I can't wait until I get to start making fun baby food combination's! October 6, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Must Buy! This product is fantastic! Extremely easy to use and clean. We purchased this when my son was 4 months old, he is now 7 months. We use it once a week to prepare his food for the week. He is now at the age when he can start eating meats. I can just take what we had for dinner steam it and puree it for him to any consistency that I choose. I don't have to spend money on baby food and he is eating much healthier!! October 5, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by makes homemade a snap! I love love love the beaba babycook. I knew I wanted to make homemade meals for my son before I knew he was a boy, but I had no idea I could steam and puree his food in one easy piece of equipment. It takes a little getting used to in order to figure out how much water is needed for recipes not in the booklet, but once you get it, you're golden. Only once has my boy had a jarred food, and I tasted it myself and nearly gagged. Compared to the fresh steamed peas I'm used to giving him, the jarred kind (even organic) were awful. Two things to note, the steamer doesn't turn off itself, and the plastic splashguard for pureeing shouldn't be used when steaming. I made that mistake once & it hasn't been the same since. Oh well! October 5, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by BPA Free? I think this is a great idea to help make food, but very weary of the BPA free label. BPA leaches at high heat. October 5, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by AWESOME! Great product! Makes cooking your own baby food so easy...you control what you want him/her to eat! Easy to do the fruits and veggies of course, but the machine is also strong enough to whip up chicken and fish (just cook it first in the oven or skillet). So much healthier for our little girl, and fun for mom to use too! October 5, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by So Easy and Simple for the Busy Parent! I just loved the idea of making organic, fresh food for my baby, so I was looking forward to trying the Babycook. Well, I just love using it. It is so easy to use and clean. I like that it doesn't have too many parts. You can even control how smooth or chunky you want the food by pureeing more or less. It is kind of pricey but it is so well worth it if you plan on making your baby the healthiest food. My only complaint is that it is kind of loud. October 5, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous This product is great! It is easy to use and you know exactly what your little one is eating. Once you have this product your baby's palate is no longer limited to what you can find in the baby aisle. I was surprised at how well this product worked. October 5, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by one stop shop This is a great item if you want to prepare your own baby food. In one container, you steam and process. For the super time crunched this is great. You dont need to boil water and then clean a pot. You just prep the food, pour the water into the machine, press a button and you're done. It's very easy to clean as well. My only complaint is that I wish it made more food at once, the container ends up making 6-8 servings and sometimes I'd rather make more in one sitting. But all in all, I'd recommend it. October 5, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by fun to use! As a working parent, I never thought I would have time to make my own baby food. I probably never would have if it weren't for the Beaba Babycook. It is functionally compact, meaning you use the same bowls for cooking and pureeing, so there are only 2 small bowls (and a couple of lids) to put in the dishwasher at the end of the cooking session. I can use it any time during the day, whether the baby is sleeping or not. With the help of the babycook, I have filled my freezer with a variety of fruits and vegetables that have only the ingredients I choose. I am sure this is why my son is such a good veggie eater! Rated 5 out of 5 by Details - Good - Here are the Reasons Everyone seems to agree this is a good product... here is why: I have the big Cuisinart food processor, and 2 small ones. I received a food mill and another food processor for baby shower gifts. When I received this, I was like, "enough already!!" But... I use it nearly every day and here is why: While is it not good at larger batches... it is VERY good at making sure the batch that fits in it is pureed consistently (no big chunks). The good thing about this product is that you steam in it then puree - only one thing to clean. This keeps the mess down and the clean up quick. It's very good with very small batches of whatever you want to try, so for first foods, it's perfect - you can just put a little in there, enough to try a few times, and it will puree it up perfectly. No, it's not necessary.. but it certainly is a big help. You can't put your food on the stove, and walk away and come back an hour later and find it perfectly cooked and turned off and just waiting for you to puree. With this thing you can. the timer goes off, and your food waits for you to puree it. And when you have a baby to attend to, that's a big help at times! August 13, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by a joy to use! I knew from the start that I would be making my own baby food and boy am I glad that I received this as a gift. This little gizmo is so cute to look, it's inspirational! Don't let its daintiness fool you though, it is also powerful, convenient and a breeze to use and clean (even manually). Yesterday, I made 3 different veggies, as well as rice porridge to last 2 weeks in 3 hours. The little man has been spoiled with momma's creations that I'm not sure he'll ever take to jarred mush. Rated 5 out of 5 by AMAZING registry gift I can not say enough good things about this amazing product. We have been making our daughter organic baby food, it is easy, inexpensive and tasty. Fresh is best- our taste tester agrees! Easy to clean, easy to use, just chop, steam, puree and freeze! June 30, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Product for the Supermom! This product is for the Supermom who does it all but wouldn't mind a little help. As a mom I want the best for my baby, and this is it. I want good food that I know is pure. Before I bought this AMAZING product it took me over two hours to make a half a tray of food. By the time I was done I was tired and my hands hurt, plus it was two hours of my life that I needed to use for household chores. As soon as I got The Babycook it felt like I could breathe again! Pure food that took no time at all to make! Best thing is that I could put food in the Babycook, turn it on and play with my son or do the laundry. When I came back a little later, it was done and had turned it self off. Then it takes less than a minute to make it ready to eat. I can make little batches for his lunch or big ones to freeze for later. The perfect product for making life easier! June 30, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to use! Making your own baby food seems time consuming and like a lot of work...but this makes everything streamlined and so easy. I'm a working mom and I would make batches of fruit, veggie and meat purees on the weekends and freeze them. I love it! June 30, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by fast furious and easy I've been seduced by this lovely little french cooker! Sure I have a regular steamer, but to have a steamer, cooker, blender all in one such a cute package is more than I could have hoped for. Makes me want to just keep making baby food all day long. seriously (and I hate to cook). So Viva La Beaba! June 17, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by A great investment for baby food at home! I can't tell you how invaluable this item has been for my son. We made all of his baby food for him until he was eating mostly table foods. This was used for squashes, veggies, fruits, etc and it's easy to experiment with new mixtures. It's easy to use and small enough that it is no problem to wash out or put in the dishwasher. We still use it for organic, homemade applesauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, etc. Even at 19 months, my son is still reaping the benefits of this item. I am not sure we would have been as likely to stick to home-made mostly organic foods for him without this great aid! June 17, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice to have but not necessary this cooker is nice to have. it's not necessary as you can just as easily steam veggies, etc. in a pot and puree in a food processor. it's also fairly small for cooking in bulk and then freezing. i really like that it has automatic shutoff for those many times you get interrupted while cooking dinner! June 12, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Feels Good to Use As a family we feel good to use this product, making all our child's food from organic items in the Babycook. It is easy to function, easy to clean and offers good examples of meals for your young one. We are able to make food for up to three days at a time which we store in Babycook storage items which Giggle also sales. It makes us feel good to know where our child's food is coming from and our child has loved every bite! June 7, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by I can't wait to put this to use! My mom just got this off of our registry and I am dying to use it! We also got the cookbook that you can buy at the store. Would it be bad to use it for myself before our baby gets here, haha. June 1, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Far better than a blender This is the perfect baby gift. While you might think a single-purpose appliance is wasteful (space, money, materials), this is definitely an exception to that philosophy. It blends so smoothly, much more baby-food-like than a blender. We also tried our 14-cup food processor and a one-cup mini processor, neither of which matched the Babycook's performance (the large one is too big to puree small amounts of food, and the little one does not have the power to make food as smooth as the Babycook). It's also nice not to have to get out the double pot to steam the veggies, but to have everything self-contained in a tiny little footprint on the counter. I just wish my son hadn't gotten teeth so soon--I LOVED using this to make his fun baby foods! It does a great job with meats as well as fruits and vegetables. May 31, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by So happy I purchased this This Babycook is fabulous. We are so happy we purchased this for our baby. I was a bit hesitant to spend $150.00 on a baby food machine- but it was so worth it. I make baby food practically every single day and freeze it in the freezer. I read lots of reviews before purchasing this and the one comment that kept on coming up again and again was the fact that the steaming container is really small. I do not mind the size because it still allows me to make at least a full ice cube tray of baby food per use. I much prefer using this machine than having to wash 10 different machines to make baby food! I think this is such a great machine for the health conscious mommy. It feels so wonderful to make healthy baby food for my little one. I really enjoy doing it. I would buy this for any new mom. May 28, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Worth every penny! We've been using the BabyCook for about a month now and I highly recommend it! It is a little on the pricey side, but it is absolutely worth it. Its small size and multi-functionality are perfect for our limited cupboard and counter space. It works very quickly; I can steam and puree several meals worth while my baby naps (and do it without creating a sink full of dishes!) I also use the BabyCook to puree fruit for oatmeal and popsicles for my older daughter. We will definitely be using the BabyCook well after our baby is done eating purees! May 28, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Gift I received this as a gift and I love it! I've done all the research on it and can't wait to use it. May 28, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by worth every penny! This is a wonderful product. My baby won't eat canned food after getting used to the real meals you can make with this. It's super easy for people who have little time and it's great to know everything that's going into your little one. Don't hesitate . . . .you won't regret this purchase! May 27, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth Every Penny! This machine has made it so easy for me to make all of my baby's food. It's fast, simple, and there is very little clean-up. The food I make has so much more flavor and color than the organic jarred food. May 27, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Ultimate Baby Registry Gift This is a fantastic gift for parents-to-be. It's a great way to introduce new foods to your little one! May 27, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent quality and great time-saver We have been buying the usual baby food jars and my son liked them. But since we have a local Farmers Market close-by and I like buying and eating fresh fruit and veggies, I was desperate to get a baby food processor. Did a lot of research and didn't quite want to spend this much $, but it's so worth it. He liked the baby food jars, but he loooves the home-made food. It's so quick and easy. An avocado/banana puree takes all of minute to prepare and maybe a couple of minutes to clean. So convenient and the food comes out looking and tasting much better than the jar-food! Totally recommend it to everyone! May 27, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by The best baby gizmo ever! I chose early on to make all of my children's baby food. I saw this and had to have it. It is so easy to use! Since it does everything all in one there is very little mess to clean up. I have made up a bunch of veggie and fruit recipes that my kids have loved. I'm glad I made the investment and bought this.
