Meets the following giggle Criteria:
MULTI-USE: Everyone wants to get the most for their money, but that doesn't always translate to the lowest price. Sometimes it means choosing one great product instead of buying multiple products over time. These products last longer and do more - whether they grow with your baby, live on beyond the baby years, or can be used for more than one purpose - so that you can always feel confident that you made a great investment.MULTI-USE: versatile & long-lasting
HEALTHY: Every parent's number-one goal is a healthy baby, and babies' developing systems are a lot more sensitive than adults. That's why we work hard to find products that won't introduce any more toxins than necessary into your home. Sometimes that means organic products that avoid pesticides and chemicals, but it also includes things like nontoxic cleaning products made from plant-based ingredients, or plastics without toxins likes BPA or phthalates.HEALTHY: made with safe or organic materials
INNOVATIVE: These products are just plain smart, whether it's a new twist on an old product, a smart, modern design, or a fresh idea that's altogether new. We're always on the hunt for the latest innovations in parenting — and that includes cool, new products that adapt the latest in technology to help the newest entrants in the world of parenting.INNOVATIVE: smart products that do more
RESPONSIBLE: What's good for the world is good for our children. We put a special emphasis on environmentally friendly, "green" products that are made with nontoxic, recycled and sustainable materials. We also love products that help the communities where they're made, or that go the extra mile to support charitable causes. Plus, we love "local"!RESPONSIBLE: eco-friendly or locally produced

Rated 5 out of 5 by So easy! For those of us who aren't "cooks" this is a very easy way to make your own baby food. It's simple and all-in-one and we use it a lot. March 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy and compact. This makes it so easy and convenient to make fresh, healthy food for baby all the time. I use it once a week on Sundays to make food for the week (or sometimes even 2-3 weeks in advance). It is kind of small so if you are planning to make batches of food, note that it will take multiple rounds. One batch fills up about one Beaba tray's worth of pureed vegetables. I do wish it came with more recommendations on which setting to use for what ingredient, mainly whether to puree with the leftover water or to dump it. The few recipes it did come with, it seems to be random. March 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Highest quality but didn't use much This is no doubt the best babyfood preparer on the market. After doing extensive research, I decided to spend the extra money to buy this one. It didn't seem really worth spending any money on the cheaper ones. It was a good purchase. However, I never had much time to use it and just ended up baking/steaming/mushing up food myself. I'm still glad I bought it, and I recommend it if you're going to buy any kind of cooking gadget. Even if you don't end up using it much, it has a good resale value. March 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic all-in-one product I used this with my first baby (who is now 4) and loved it. I did have to replace it a few times because the lid wasn't sealing properly and it didn't last past a year and a half, but I loved it any way. I just bought a new one for my new baby and can't wait to use it again. I even bought the rice cooker - we'll see! March 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Expensive but worth it! While not inexpensive, this made making organic baby food for my son so easy! I definitely couldn't have done it without it. Even though he eats normal food now, I still use it to steam or blend items for him since it is perfect for portion control. I don't end up with too much! March 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy & Efficient This a perfect appliance to make your own baby food! I started making my son's food from the first day he could eat solids. The Babycook made it easy! Very very little prep, just steam, blend, and enjoy... there are a few minor steps in between :) With an appliance like this there is no reason to purchase pre-made food. It's quick, efficient, and best of all, it's very easy to clean! March 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Homemade baby food made easy! I love making my own purees from fresh, local and organic ingredients. This appliance really streamlines the process. It is easy to use and makes clean-up super quick. March 18, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Anybody can make baby food with this! This is a great tool for making home made baby food. It really is super easy and can save you a lot of money. Plus you know exactly what your baby is eating. Just chop your veggies/fruit, put in the steam basket, fill with water and hit the switch. Then just dump the steamed food from the basket into the processor. No need to wash in between. I also use the steam feature to reheat frozen baby food and it works great (and I feel better not using the microwave) The only cons about this: - the lid doesn't quite close right sometimes. you have to jiggle it - the lid and steam compartment lid do get VERY hot. so you have to use potholders to handle it once you've steamed. March 31, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not reliable... I think I may have gotten a lemon. It doesn't work consistently. I have talked with Scandinavian Child, the maker and they are sending a new one. This took a month. If this product was more reliable it would be wonderful. That is my only problem. I don't know if others have this issue or I just got a bum machine. March 31, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Efficient! This is a fabulous product for making baby food. Everything needed in the process can be accomplished with this one appliance. And their customer service is wonderful! I highly recommend this product! March 30, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth It! I was very hesitant to purchase this because of the high price but decided to give it a try. IT IS AMAZING! The first time I used it I made 6 different purees in about 2 hours. It was so quick and easy and the food lasted for a couple weeks. I'm so impressed with how easy it is to clean and how it can puree very quickly. I have been able to make all of my baby's food except when we travel. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! March 30, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by most favorite baby item I just started using the Babycook about a month ago and I am already in love! After just two nights I filled my freezer with all kinds of healthy foods for my son. It is really easy to use, and I am not a cook. I also appreciate how easy the clean up is. I highly recommend this to anyone even considering making their own food. March 30, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by EASY to use and make fresh food It's extremely easy to steam and puree fresh foods. Yes it takes more time, but you can make an excess and freeze the rest. I wish the storage containers were included rather than a separate purchase. Cleaning the 'pot' can be a little time consuming. It comes with a few recipes, wish it came with more. There is a cookbook for Beaba that I purchased separately to help me make different dishes. March 19, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quick, easy & healthy I love steaming & pureeing my own baby food in the babycook! Its quick & easy to make the food & easy cleanup. I love how the food can be reheated in the unit, so no microwave required! I also love how it is BPA free, so I know my baby is eating healthy, chemical free food! March 14, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by baby food maker Why feed you baby processed food when you can make simple and healthier baby food at home. This machine is a time saver. Includes a few simple recipes to make for your lil one. March 10, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great little product! The BabyCook is nice and small for storage. Makes pureed food in less than 10 minutes. Great way to provide fresh and nutritious food for your baby. March 10, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! I wanted to make food rather than buy it for my little boy. The babycook has made it so easy! It's also an easy way to make finger foods, now that the little guy wants to feed himself. March 10, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by great for first time home-made babyfood intimidation factor before trying: 10/10, difficulty in use: 0/10, satisfaction level: 10/10 as i watch my baby eat the food that i made him :) March 10, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Every family should have one! I received this baby food cooker as a gift while still pregnant. I had heard about the reviews long before I was pregnant and waited for the chance when I would need to use the Babycook. I have to say that I was not disappointed. I used this machine almost everyday to reheat foods or to make small batches of baby food for my son from his first meals until recently when he has switched completely to table food. This really does not take much time to use. I am a single parent, teaching and going to grad school and was able to find the 15 minutes here and there to make fresh and nutritious food for my baby. I also feel like he benefited from the local produce and was introduced to a wider variety of foods than baby food companies offer in the store. The only problem: my son became a bit of a food snob and didn't want to eat jarred food while on vacation. My solution was to buy an inexpensive food mill for travel. Great product and holds up over continuous use for months! March 10, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by All in one convenience The best thing about the Beaba is that, much like a slow cooker, you can walk away from it without worry. I'm not standing over my stove trying to keep my toddler's hands away from the heat and I'm not having to wash 900 different kitchen gadgets to get one product out of it. It feels great to make my baby's food and to know that I'm doing it in a BPA free product. I love that I'm able to offer my baby a variety of foods not available in store-bought baby food. He tried fresh pumpkin last week and papaya today. I love my Beaba... I wish I had it with my first child! March 10, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for quick healthy meals. The baby cook is a life saver. It's easy to use & clean and makes it fun to make my daughters baby food. I love being able to make her healthy meals and watch her enjoy them. For families on a budget it's ideal the baby cook & it's accessories make easy to store & freeze food. I am very pleased with this appliance. March 10, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Best for cooking at home! This product is great for mom's making their own food. The toughest part is the inability to just have it blend on its own (you have to hold the blend button), which is difficult for also dealing with nearby babies, but it's probably a necessary feature. It steams perfectly and the blender is awesome, it just can make the food a little hot so you have to get used to how much water to put in for steaming purposes and warming up frozen food. It definitely makes you feel great about making homemade and healthy food for your baby! March 10, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by So easy, it's ridiculous! :) I've never been the type to whip up gourmet meals, let alone have the time for it. The Beaba Babycook has made it so easy and FUN to do this for my son. I look forward to shopping for fresh veggies and fruits to blend...the more exotic, the better! Leighton LOVES all of it. The Babycook does it all: steam, blend and defrost. It feels so good to feed my baby the freshest foods with no additives or preservatives. GET IT...YOU'LL BE SO GLAD YOU DID! March 10, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by great for first few months of solids this is an easy-to-use, feel-good product if you're determined to make your own baby food; it's also great to have the steaming and processing function in one tool. that said...it does become yet another thing to clean (it's not dishwasher safe) and, to be completely honest, i switched over to happy baby and earth's best ready-made products after a few months. it really all depends on your needs, time constraints, and priorities--i was one of those moms who (foolishly!) felt guilty, at first, NOT making my own food...but, really, the organic pre-made food became one way i could comfortably save myself some much-needed time! also, this is obviously a splurge--i was fortunate to get it as a gift, but i'm not sure i would spend the money myself. finally, before i used it the first time, i watched a few youtube videos about how to do it right--i'd recommend that. enjoy if you get it, but don't stress if you go with another one or choose to buy food. every mom deserves the freedom to use store-bought stuff, too! March 10, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cook in one place using little space! We finally gave into purchasing the Beaba Babycook after getting tired of all the steps to get the same thing done with our existing cookware and food processor. Not only can the Babycook tackle everything in one machine -- the steam water is reclaimed to be the base of the puree. As baby gets bigger, you can literally prep small portions of what you are making for the family in a consistency appropriate for baby! February 10, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by a must even if you're not gourmet with your meals, this makes it so easy to prepare fresh, healthy meals for your child. and it's more tailored to feeding a baby than a regular blender. definitely worth the money. November 5, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Never thought I'd buy this.... I never thought I'd buy this because it seemed like an unnecessary expenditure. I already have a steamer and a small food prep food processor. I even simplified my home steaming by using a small pot, a sieve with a handle, and put a lid over it (for when I'm only steaming small portions). But I found I could make a pretty big mess of dirty dishes just for my son's dinner... and then I had to make my own dinner later. When my son turned 12 months I finally bought this item and only wish I had purchased it sooner! It is the best baby item I have so far. Everything can be cooked or reheated in this item, and you can chop up what you cook easily in the same container, so less mess. I even had it reheat a frozen meatball the other night, then chop it up a little. Honestly, this item is awesome, even if you don't think you'll be making your own baby food, it is so EASY to do so. I can't live without this item now. I even use it for my own meals. And for those of you in tight spaces, it doesn't take up much room. Lastly, it's a no brainer -- you just dump what you want to cook into the basket, add the required water, and turn the switch. November 2, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by well worth the money My baby is now on baby food and we wanted to make our own... for nutrition and for cost. I have a streamer and I have a blender... tried first time and the blender just pushed the food to the sides.. I worked and got it done. Then the clean up. Researched BEABA and did it.. WOW... what a breeze. I clean couple carrots.. turn it on and take a shower. Purees fantastic. In less than 20 minutes.. made carrots and extra in trays frozen. I now have a good varitiy in the freezer to be used as needed. Thaws easy and cleaned up FAST. I even made the steamed veggies for dinner for hubby and self...This is small enough to just stay on counter... I would again spend the money for a product you really will use... just do it! Rated 5 out of 5 by So easy We use our Babycook constantly. It has made making our own baby food a breeze. My husband and I comment everytime we use it how happy we are that we made the decision to buy it. It seemed pricey at first but it has been worth every penny! October 9, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Baby Cook is GREAT. I am not a cook. I love eating fresh food, but just don't have the patience. The Babycook is so simple to use and clean that it makes it too easy to make fresh food for my baby. I don't regret spending the small fortune on it. Just knowing that I am giving my daughter super fresh, nutrient packed organic purees is priceless! How would you feel if all your meals were out of a jar? Yuck. October 9, 2009
