Hi,I just bought the Stokke Sleepi Bed with both size mattresses, the sleepi bassinet and the crib mattresses. Is there a reason why the bassinet mattress is much thinner with less cushion or foam than the crib mattress? Is the slimness okay for a new born?

You can rest assured that Stokke's Bassinet Mattress is designed wth your infant's comfort and safety in-mind. The reason why the newborn mattress is thinner is to allow better airflow and ventilation thought the crib when the baby is first born. Due to a baby's small size they actually do not need anymore cushioning to be comfortable, and it's better for them!
