As nursery safety and environment are top considerations at giggle, every furniture item we sell meets or exceeds all U.S. and most Canadian and European safety standards (including Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA), and all Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regulations).The materials used to build giggle's Better Basics Harper Collection, and exterior dimensions, vary from item to item, and are as follows:
--Harper Crib: Solid birch and birch plywood end panels and mattress support; 53.8" L x 29.6" W x 33.4" H
--Harper Conversion Kit: Solid birch; 48.4" L 27.56" W 1.5" D
--Harper Changing Table: Solid birch and birch plywood shelves; 35.3 L" 19.3" W 37.4" H
--Harper Dresser: A composite of solid birch, birch plywood, and high-density fiberboard (HDF); 37" L x 20" W x 35.4" H
Additionally, you can rest assured that giggle is committed to an accessible eco-solution for a broad range of customers -- the Harper Collection uses only water-based and non-toxic (meaning no-VOC, or Volatile Organic Compounds) paints and glues (including the glues used to fabricate the HDF) that are completely free of toxins (aka. non-toxic/no-VOC).
Converting the Harper Dresser from a changing table back into a dresser is easy:
--Changing table mode: Simply add a contoured changing pad, like giggle's Better Basics Antimicrobial Contoured Changing Pad (comes with two snap-straps and one snap hardware pack that contains two snap-screws to mount the pad to a dresser) to the top of the dresser.
--Dresser mode: Harper's stylish backsplash adds extra stability to the changing pad, and, when you remove the pad to reveal Harper as a dresser, the backsplash adds a nice design touch. Plus, it helps keep curious hands from pulling decor off the dresser's top!
