Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this product! We just love this product. Prior to the arrival of our little one, not aware of the gender and wanting an item which was "green" and would grow with the family. It is fantastic, gender neutral and grows with the child as they grow. In purchasing this item, we do not need to replace furniature as the child grew, had a constant theme to their room and was able to feel comfortable that it was in essence as a result a, "green" item. Furthermore, the style is morden, easy to fit in narrow areas as well as easy to move around. We have found it to be a true pleasure, from planning, through infancy to now nearly, one year old. We are super pleased with it and the companion items we have purchased as well. June 7, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Crib Ever! We received the Stokkes Sleepi Crib and have it set-up in our home ready for our little one on the way. The solid wood and lines of the design are really nice, but most of all the way this cirb system grows with your child is pretty awesome! Anyone whose come over to my house is envious of this crib and has told others about it. We live in a very small apartment and this crib, currently in bassinet form, fits even in my small bedroom and easily moves to the living room. I love Stokkes products! May 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best option for Versatility The design is attractive and the compact size is not offered by any other crib on the market. We are using this crib for our third child and we are very happy with the quality. For our first two children we used it first as a bassinet, then the crib and finally the day bed/crib option. It has held up wonderfully. We frequently move the crib from our guest room to our room as needed. The crib easily fits through our door frames. The biggest downside is finding sheets to fit the bassinet. Most retailers take up to 6 weeks to delivery, they costly and don't come in any color options beyond beige. March 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stylish, great for small spaces Well made & gives any room character. Super stylish. March 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by like that it ticks all the boxes the combo is great. one for the master bedroom and one for the baby's room. LOL unless there's twins, then we'll need two. March 30, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by like the combo we're looking forward to having the bassinette in our room and the crib in the nursery. it's stylish, functional, practical, minimum space required for it....great . March 30, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tiny space dwellers. We're on a tight budget so we live in a tiny city flat. the size of the crib is perfect for small spaces, while looking stylish in both small and large homes. :) March 30, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Functional and stylish, but expensive Loved that it's non-toxic. I was very concerned about chemicals and off-gassing regarding baby furniture so I was happy that this was child-friendly and eco-friendly. The fact that it's European is a huge plus, since it seems that European standards are higher and better. I liked how this converts from bassinet to crib, and toddler bed. The wheels are helpful when you're cleaning and you need to move it around, or mostly for us, when we wanted to rock her to sleep on those rough nights. I liked the oval shape the most, it seemed more organic and easier to navigate around. The big downfall is that there is not much bedding for this shape unless it's from Stokke and it's very very expensive. March 19, 2011

A:
Deciding on a co-sleeper vs. a bassinet all depends on your use preferences, design preferences, space, and how much of an investment you'd like to make (short term vs. long term).

A traditional co-sleeper with a drop-down side is ideal for parents who want to co-sleep for their infant's first 5 months (but aren't necessarily interested in using the item for much longer than co-sleeping age), and prefer the plastic/fabric design of co-sleepers. This option is a good value for parents who want to minmally invest in a short-term product and choose a crib when they're ready to make a larger investment.

A bassinet that converts into a full-size specialty crib (like Stokke's Sleepi System I) is ideal for parents who want a traditional bassinet (no drop-down side) for their infant's first 5 months, want optimal longevity of converting it up into a crib and beyond, and who prefer the aesthetic of wood furniture. This is a larger up-front investment but is a great value with its 4+ year life-span and continued expansion options.

Q:
I'm just confused on the Sleepi Crib vs. Crib & Bassinet Set, and would like clarification. The Crib itself ($800) is one piece, but can be converted to a bassinet and then the toddler bed, is that right? Does it need extra parts to convert? From the reviews, people said they used it as a bassinet first, then a crib.

For the Set, is it two separate pieces or just one that converts from bassinet to crib, then to toddler bed? Does it also need extra parts to convert?

I'm looking for one piece that converts from bassinet to crib to toddler bed, so which one would be best? Thanks for your help.

A:
Stokke's Sleepi Crib is available on its own for families who would like to opt-out of the bassinet stage, however, Stokke's Bassinet is not sold separately, and may only be purchased as part of a system with Stokke's Sleepi Crib & Bassinet Set. This set includes everything required to begin as a bassinet, then transition to a full-sized specialty crib -- just add a couple of extra included parts to "grow" the Bassinet into a Crib! When it's time for a toddler bed, simply remove one side rail, and your toddler has a comfy bed until age 4.

When your child is ready for a big-kid bed, Stokke's Sleepi will transition from a toddler bed into Junior bed with the addition of a Junior Bed Conversion Kit (sold separately). The Junior Bed may be used up to age 9, and is a comfortable bed at night, and a relaxing sofa during the day. Plus, once your child graduates from the junior bed, you may turn the item into two stylish chairs!

Aloha,
Is the bassinet height adjustable? I have read that the crib height is but can not find out about the bassinet.
Thanks!

A:
No, the bassinet isn’t adjustable; it’s a fixed height. The reason cribs are adjustable is so you can make them deeper as your child starts sitting up and then standing. But since bassinets are only used the first few months (before the child can sit up) the mattress height stays the same. Thanks for asking!

A:
Yes, most standard mobiles will attach to this crib just as they would to a regular-size crib. We have a great selection of mobiles that can either attach to the crib or be hung from the ceiling, so be sure to check them out!
