Great bassinet. Pricey but worth it for the following reasons.
1. Easy to move from room to room. It's lightweight if you need to lift it, and glides nicely across carpet if you need to push it.
2. Soft fabric sides. When our son had an active night's sleep and waved his arms or legs around, the soft fabric sides prevented him (and us!) from being woken up if an arm or leg hit the sides.
3. Love the look -- we received many, many compliments on this. It really is such an attractive piece, and we wanted to stay as far away as we could from that Jenny Lind look.
4. You can rock your baby to sleep in this without getting out of bed, or even sitting up. One hand on the edge of the bassinet, and you're good to go!
5. Well made and of excellent quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by pepecarlo Lightweight and washable
We purchased this bassinet 2 years ago for our first child. We chose it because it looked like a modern piece of furniture and matched our decor. As we lived in a small space this was important to us as during the day we would move the bassinet (which is very lightweight) to our living area. The rocking feature is also a plus, especially at night when baby cries. When our baby outgrew the bassinet, we used the bassinet as a toy storage bin until the birth of our 2nd child. One of the best features about this bassinet is that the surrounding fabric comes off (there is a hidden zipper) and is washable in addition to the inside sheet. The only thing I haven't liked about this bassinet is that it tilts towards the baby's head when baby is placed in it. I usually put something on the bottom of the leg to elevate the side with the baby's head so as to prevent gastric reflux.

Love this bassinet for its style and functionality. It's convenient to take the bed out of the rocker to move around your house or even in the car for a road trip. My son (avg size) easily fit until he was rolling over. Easy to put together too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by littleZ Perfect first bed for baby!
Our son slept in this bassinet next to our bed for the first 6 months of his life. It's comfortable, safe and easy to assemble - and looks great. We propped it up with books when he had minor reflux and often rocked him in it when he would wake and fuss. And if you have the room in your home, it can be used to hold toys and other items once baby's outgrown sleeping in it. I resisted purchasing this bassinet at first but am so happy we did. We ended up loving it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Georgesmom Looks great
When I was pregnant, I was always on e lookout for baby items that looked less like baby items and more like pieces of furniture. This definitely fit the bill. Looks amazing and did the job for the first 10 weeks of our son's life! My only complaint is that my son was incredibly active and the non-breathable sides and rocking made me nervous as he whipped around at night. Because of is, we moved him into his crib a little earlier than we had planned. Not all babies are as active as he is though!

The Ninna Nanna Bassinet is perfect! As a new mother, I feel most comfortable with my daughter sleeping beside my bed. This bassinet allows me rock her as I lay in bed. It is also lightweight, which makes it mobile. I look forward to using this will all my children, as the design is timeless.

We love our bassinet. Our baby slept in it until she was 5 months old and we moved her to her room. She still likes to rock and play in it. We received many compliments on it.

A:
Effortlessly rock baby to sleep in Monte's Ninna Nanna bassinet, but refrain from mounting a mobile to the bassinet's side. giggle recommends a ceiling mounted mobile as a safe alternative that will keep baby occupied and your nursery well-appointed.Ninna Nanna's soy-foam, waterproof mattress is independent from the basket to make changing sheets and cleaning-up just as effortless as a good night's sleep!

Q:
do you know if this bassinet has JPMA certification (or if not, whether it has any other safety certification?)Answers
A:
While the Ninna Nanna is not JPMA certified, it is indeed tested to meet ASTM safety standards for bassinets/cradles sold in the United States. What's more, this uniquely styled bassinet is composed of healthy and eco-friendly materials: Oeko-Tex certified microsuede, soy-based foam, 100% cotton sheets, and solid wood. The Ninna Nanna is absolutely one of our favorites, and our customers agree!Q:
I would like to attach a mobile to this bassinet. Stores do sell a clamp style mobile attachment but they only open to 2 inches wide. Is the wood bar that goes around the basket wider then 2 inches? How wide is it?Answers
A:
The bar around the basket is 3.25" from top to bottom. Just in case this also helps, the bar is 1" thick. Good luck!
