The Itzbeen timer was a lifesaver when we brought our son home from the hospital. He had weight gain issues, so it was very important to monitor how often he was feeding and wetting his diapers. It also helped me keep track of my medication (I was recovering from a c-section). The built-in light was handy when we had to tend to him in the middle of the night. I would highly recommend this little tool for all parents. It is easy to use and is indispensible during the first few months! It is very helpful for establishing a good routine and understanding what your baby needs. As your child gets older, you can also use it during illnesses to remind you when it's time for medicine. Very clever idea, and I'm glad I purchased this product!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by jam224 Very handy gadget!
The Itzbeen was an amazing tool that I relied on to know how often our baby was eating and for how long. This is especially good info to know in the early days when most newborns are pretty sleepy (and mom is pretty sleep-deprived too!). It also made it possible for me and baby to snooze uninterrupted; if dad wanted to know how long ago the last feeding was, all he had to do was check the Itzbeen! It's small, lightweight, and easier to use than a smartphone app. The lock switch makes it convenient to toss into a diaper bag without worrying about errant keys being pressed. The backlight button perfectly illuminated the screen; dim enough not to disturb baby, but bright enough for mama to read during nighttime feedings! While this gadget isn't a necessity, it sure makes feedings easier!

I don't use this as much anymore but for the first 3 months we enjoyed having this around. It's really easy to use and small enough to take it everywhere (fits in your purse, diaper bag or even your pocket!) I did feel like the batteries drained pretty fast but that didn't bother me very much. It took the stress off when it comes to keeping to a schedule!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by HenrysMama Godsend for tired mamas & papas
The Itzbeen has been a godsend for my husband and me! Especially in the first 6-8 weeks when everything is a blur and your body is "adjusting" to sleep deprivation. It is particularly great for medium-maintenance mommies like me who want to keep SOME track of the goings-on of Baby without keeping a pen-and-paper log or reaching for the iPhone or iPad to mess with 3 different apps in the middle of the night.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Henrysmommy Useless, but good for timing contractions
I thought this would be the perfect way to track our son's feeding and diapers, but I found it useless even though I had it right next to me, I still would not push it or I'd leave it in another room and forget to push the buttons. What it was actually the most useful for was timing my contractions.

i think this is mostly for a first-time parent in the early stages of parenthood. having said that, it was so helpful in getting us through that time -- when we were struggling to breastfeed, it slept on my pillow at night.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Bmom Just not as helpful as I'd imagined
I thought this was going to be a super-helpful little gadget, but I found it just one more thing to have to remember to do, and often found myself resetting the gadget when I didn't mean to. I ended up just writing down the times I did stuff the old-fashioned way--I think not worth the $25.

I used this often until I found an iPhone app that was much more comprehensive. But if you don't have a cell phone app, this is good in the beginning when you are feeding round the clock.
