These outlet covers really work and you won't break your nails removing them. Highly recommend.

We bought these like most parents do, when our daughter was about 3 months old, getting ahead of the crawling stage where she might be interested in dangerous things like outlets. What we found was they worked well until her awareness really started developing -- as soon as she noticed them for real, around 14 months, she made it her sole occupation to try and pry them off the outlets! And they're really not that strong -- a tiny finger (or your fingernail) can pull them out with a little work without using the special tabs. So we replaced them with clear duct tape. Nothing bumpy and "interesting" to catch her attention so it took the focus off the outlets. Feels much safer than these.

These outlet covers do their job and my son cannot get them out. It's still not too difficult for me, though, when I need to run the vacuum, etc. I bought a bunch of extras to take to Grandma's or for when we stay at a hotel.

Take it from someone who had to go around with broken nails prying all the old flat outlet covers off with a screwdriver--don't buy those flat ones just to save a few bucks! They will make your life miserable and THEY HURT. I ended buying these anyway, so just make things easier on yourself and start out with these :)
