Save those amazing hospital issue newborn caps that are impossible to find and unravel almost immediately upon leaving the hospital, this hat is the best option that I've found for my newborn's head. Unlike most newborn hats, including Giggle's pink and blue solid skull cap options (which I bought, but then returned), the orange striped hat is made of a super soft, cotton fabric that has a lot of give to it, allowing it to pull down and stay put over my baby's head, fully covering her ears, forehead and the base of her head. I definitely have to fold up the bottom edge of the hat so that it doesn't cover her eyes, but as her head grows, this won't be a problem. A friend bought this hat for me as a baby shower gift, and I've since purchased two more for myself, as well as two others for another friend's baby shower gift. Great product. Very pleased with it!

i received this hat for my newborn and loved it. the material stretches the right amount for the baby's head and after washing, goes right back to it's shape. my baby received lots of compliments in the nursery as i switched him out of the newborn hospital hat to the orange and white stripe hat. so wonderful i bought a few more in the next size! also have purchased better
basic onsies which are just as wonderful.

we love this hat by Giggle Better Basics! we have it in every color and wear it all of the time...just wish it came in larger sizes, our little man has outgrown it. since its organic cotton, it washes really well and breathes well while your little one is wearing it. i have purchased this with the mittens and matching onesies for all of my friends having babies this year!!
