The weight is just warm enough to keep baby cozy without overheating. I only unsnap one side to open and close easily. My son wore his for months, I bought two and used them daily. So soft and so sweet on, one of my favorite newborn items, they make great gifts.

This still fits my 5 month old which is great and why I gave it so many stars. Also, this is great while we move him from our bed to his crib since we can't put any blankets on him and some nights I am too lazy to swaddle. It tends to keep him warmer without making him too sweaty like fleece does. My only complaint is that there are a bazillion snaps, at 4AM it's kind of a bummer trying to fasten this thing up especially because lately he's decided he doesn't like to be changed and squirms like a maniac.

i received this as a shower present and am happy with it -- made of thick, good quality cotton and looks cute on the baby. the snaps are a bit excessive though and take a bit of time to get on/off.

This is a great gift! Its so nice to put your little one down to sleep in something that's so soft and safe! You know your baby is going to be warm and comfortable as they sleep.
