Rated 3 out of 5 by Veegeesqq Wish it were glass instead of plastic I used this machine with my first baby and initially loved it because it takes the fear out of making babyfood for any new parent. However, once I started making spinach and carrots and other brightly colored foods, the plastic container in which the food goes starting discoloring and I was reminded of how awful all these plastic baby products are. What happened to glass?? Why did you cheap out on us, Beaba? I would happily pay a premium for a glass Babycook. And now, with my second baby, I feel like the only responsible thing to do is to steam the old fashion way, in steel and glass, and not in this awful plastic container that leaches all sorts of chemicals. (Don't worry, there's no BPA, but there's plenty of BPS and whatever else they still add to make this cheap plastic.) I will probably use this machine again to puree cold foods, but I cannot bring myself to use the steam/heat function ever again. That would just offset any nutritional benefit of making my own food. In summary: a shortlived product I wish I had avoided. When you know better, you do better. August 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymouse1 Great for making your own food Friends had recommended this product, for its ease of use. I couldn't agree more. It is so easy to make food for my son with the Beaba. And, it cleans easily as well. May 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by mommy10027 easy & fast to make your own baby food Wow, I wish there was a magical machine like this for other foods! My husband and I both love to cook and we are all about eating healthy but our dinners are nowhere near this easy ;-) Yesterday I put in raw chicken and carrots, all chopped and in 15 mins I had baby food for several meals. I tasted it and it is quite good. For me, the plus is that I know where the chicken and carrots came from and that there is nothing else added. I wish I got this earlier. I should say that I have used the Beaba to just steam foods for the rest of the family too, but I stopped the steam cycle early bc I like my veggies a bit crunchy. January 30, 2013
