This is a super-cute mat that nicely coordinates with the other toys from this SkipHop line. It is a bit pricey but with the flexibility of the toys to be used in other areas or strapped to a stroller, it almost makes up for the price. The materials are soft and not too cute-sy or baby to stand out in a normal room (where you'll be using the playmat most).

Got all three items for my baby shower and my little girl has loved them all since she was 1 month old to now (6 months old).
The gym folds easily and can be packed for trips.
And the old and mirror are safe, sturdy and provide a lot of entertainment.
One of my favorite baby gifts!

Hi, does this product have any certifications to lend it the healthy rating? Does the mat have any chemical flame retardants? Are the dyes plant-based?

As with all Skip Hop products, this mat meets or exeeds all ASTM, CPSIA, EN71 & applicable safety standards. A variety of materials are used in order to accomplish the developmental sensory features, but all parts are bpa-free and meet flammability requirements without the addtion of flame retardant chemicals.If you're looking for an alternative, try giggle's Jungle Playmat -- it's made from a 100% organic cotton exterior and is filled with 100% polyester fill (that's made from recycled water bottles!) that's denser and softer than poly-plush. MiYim doesn’t use any chemical flame retardants or softeners, and the dyes used to create color are made only from all-natural plant and mineral ingredients.
