The Pria 70 is all about quality design and long-lasting value, growing with your baby from infancy to toddlerhood (so you have one less car seat to buy!). Other noteworthy features: It reclines to four different positions while your child is sitting in it and has revolutionary side impact technology that immediately reduces side impact forces through the precise release of air. (How’s that for cutting-edge?) It also boasts one-hand harness height adjustment, a one-click latch system, and a rear-facing adjustment feature that makes it easier and faster to switch the car seat’s position.
Why it's a giggle pick Parents who don't need a true infant car seat that can be clicked in and out of the car will love saving a purchase with this convertible seat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tried and True We had the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio first. I bought that one after tons and tons of research but I wasn't going to buy a 2nd one because it is very expensive. So a few months later we started searching for another convertible for our other car. We wanted something less expensive but not too bulky and still safe and comfortable. We got this Maxi Cosi. My son loves this car seat and now he hates the Peg Perego. Had I known, I could've saved a lot of money...if only babies could online shop! Anyways, what's great about this is the seat is more reclined than the Peg and the cushion and fabric are more comfortable than the Peg. My son doesn't complain when he sits in the Maxi Cosi and he even falls asleep easier in this car seat. One other plus is there's a cup holder and he loves it. It's easy to clean and not very bulky so it fits just fine in our VW GTI. March 17, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good, but one big drawback My little guy hated his infant carrier carseat so I ordered this, because it looked comfortable, fit in the car, and had excellent safety ratings. So far we've been happy with it, except one major thing - the fabric on the car seat stains easily. My guy is teething, which equals LOTS of drool. The strap pads are already gross from the teething, and now the cushions near his head are getting stained from him turning his head and getting drool on it. I plan to contact Maxi Cosi to see how to clean it, but for $250, I'm kind of annoyed that this material stains so badly. February 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect My son is very particular about where and how he sits. He never really accepted his Chicco infant car seat, and it took several tries to find the perfect stroller. So, I was shocked when he took to this car seat right away. He sits so comfortably in it, and more importantly I trust the design and safety features. Also, after doing my extensive homework, I was pleased with Maxi Cosi's environmental rating when it came to chemicals found in children's car seats. While Britax is also a great and respected brand, Maxi has already instituted fabric, color and chemical policies that won't be standard at Britax for a couple more years. December 20, 2013

A:
Maxi-Cosi's Pria 70 Air Convertible Car Seat is designed to accommodate a rear-facing child weighing 9-40 lbs. and a forward-facing child who weighs 22-70 lbs. Pria 70 Air isn't tested or designed for a child weighing less than 9lbs.

For a child who weighs less than 9lbs, choose Maxi-Cosi's Pria 70 Air Convertible Car Seat with TinyFit. It's designed to accommodate a rear-facing child weighing 4-40 lbs. & a forward-facing child who weighs 22-70 lbs. This seat includes MaxiCosi's TinyFit System for better fit for very small occupants.

A:
As a rule, convertible car seats, including MaxiCosi's Pria 70, don't have the option of adapting to a stroller for quick in-and-out-of-the-car convenience.

The exception to that rule is Orbit's Toddler Car Seat, a convertible car seat for a child 15+ lbs. that adapts to Orbit's Baby Stroller Base G2.

If car-seat-to-stroller compatibility for a newborn is what you're looking for, make sure to view giggle's Infant Car Seat assortment. All will adapt to strollers with the addition of the matching infant car seat adapter accessory (i.e. for a MaxiCosi Mico choose your stroller brand's MaxiCosi Mico Car Seat Adapter).
