For my 2.5 yr old I should have started her using this from the beginning of trying solids. She eyes it with much skepticism and although the same stuff is inside as on her plate, she trusts the plate more. I started my 1 year old on the other hand with this from the get go and she has no problem with it. Down side is its hard to clean. Basically not possible to just throw it in the dishwasher. I've tried flipping it inside out for easier cleaning but easier said than done.
